Fine Motor Development and Fun!
Age: Pre-school aged children
Program Details
Come and join us to play, have fun and develop your child’s fine motor skills while making craft projects and socialising with other children. Learn how to use objects around the home to create masterpieces! This group will develop your child’s confidence and willingness to complete table top activities. Parents are invited to join in the creativity, to collect ideas for play at home!
The main underlying capacity areas addressed in this 10-week program include:
- fine motor skills including hand strength and pincer grasp
- pencil grasp
- coordination
- safe tool use (including scissors)
- social skills
Group Goals
Goals are set for the group based on the individuals that are attending. Individual goals are also set to address within the group context. Your occupational therapist will speak to you about this process.
