Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Sessions at Qualia
Our qualified OTA is trained to provide evidence-based interventions in an individual setting to support your child’s progress in a variety of areas such as:
- Handwriting
- Fine motor skills
- Reading
- Spelling
- Self-regulation
All of our OTA sessions are individually tailored to meet each child’s unique needs, and goal progression is closely monitored by Avalon Nixon (Clinical Director). OTA sessions can be utilised as an additional session during the week to facilitate task practice, in collaboration with your current OT. They can also be utilised as an additional session to work on other goals that your OT may not have time to address during regular weekly sessions.
Our OTA assists several groups across the clinic during term-time and throughout the holidays, and is able to support generalisation of skills from individual sessions to group therapy.
