Meet Mr Yum!

picture3Mr Yum is a fun and engaging hand strength and pincer strength activity. Both of these skills are required for pencil grasp, pencil control for handwriting and self-care skills such as dressing.

How to play

Mr Yum can be played with one or two people. One hand (or person) holds Mr Yum and squeezes his cheeks so he can eat. The other hand (or person) picks up the marbles or coins individually in one hand and then ‘feeds’ Mr Yum one marble at a time. Make sure you only use one hand when feeding him!

How to make a Mr Yum at home

Use a tennis ball and cut a straight line (for his mouth). Decorate with googly eyes, cotton wool hair or textas.
